Staff Changes at Mid-Atlantic Section

Eva Crabbs has been hired as the USTA/Mid-Atlantic’s Sectional League Assistant. She was one of the Section’s 2011 interns and worked with the leagues department last year at all five championships. Notice About Mid-Atlantic Section Tri-Level Leagues

We recently prepared a statement concerning Tri-Level tennis changing to 4 Tier Tennis (4TT). That document explained why BNP Paribas had made this change, and that we needed to comply with it so that our 2012 winning teams would be able to attend the 2012 BNP Paribas championships in Indian Wells, California in March of 2013. We have now received some very disturbing news. BNP Paribas has “changed their mind” and reverted back to Tri-Level tennis. Read More

2011 Tri-Level Sectional Championships

The 2011 Tri-Level Sectional Championships were held at the Virginia Beach Tennis & Country Club, January 20–22. Five teams were crowned champions including the 3.5/4.0/4.5 men's team from Baltimore County, MD, and the 3.5/4.0/4.5 women's team from Shenandoah, VA. These two teams will advance to represent the Mid-Atlantic at the BNP Paribas Open Tri-Level Championships being held in Indian Wells in March. Read More
