Nominate a person, club, organization or association for one of the 17 USTA/Mid-Atlantic Section Awards:  The winners will be honored at our Annual Meeting on Saturday, Nov. 21.

 

To be eligible for consideration, a nominee must be a current member (individual or organization) of the United States Tennis Association. Download nomination form and submit by Friday, Oct. 16.

Military Tennis Award

The award will recognize an individual, family or organization that provides tennis opportunities in the military community.

 

Section Organization of the Year Award
Presented to a member organization in the USTA Mid-Atlantic Section to recognize outstanding service to the local community, to the organization members, and to the game of tennis. The Mid-Atlantic winner is then submitted for USTA National award consideration.

 

Lifetime Service Award
This award is to honor an individual or group for their longstanding dedication and commitment to the game of tennis.

 

Volunteer of the Year
Presented to an individual that volunteers at the section level either on committees, programs or events to promote the growth of tennis.

 

League Coordinator of the Year Award
Presented to an USTA/Mid-Atlantic Section individual who has been outstanding in the coordination of league play at the local level and has developed growth and participation.

 

Community Program of the Year
Presented to a USTA/Mid-Atlantic Section person, place or program that best demonstrates outstanding execution of a team event or programs.

 

Tennis Facility of the Year
Presented to the tennis facility that made the greatest impact in the community during the past year through programming, events and partnerships.

 

Outstanding Media/Press Award
Organization or individual active in the print, television, radio or Web site media, who promotes the growth of tennis.

 

Adult/Senior Tournament of the Year Award
Presented to a USTA sanctioned adult tournament in the Mid-Atlantic Section that has best demonstrated the high standards upheld by the USTA in organizing and conducting a sanctioned adult tournament.

 

Junior Tournament of the Year Award
Presented to the USTA-sanctioned junior tournament in the Mid-Atlantic Section that best demonstrates the USTA and USTA Mid-Atlantic Section standards of organizing and conducting a sanctioned junior event.

 

Tennis Official of the Year Award
Presented to a tennis official who has made outstanding contributions to the cause of tennis officiating in the USTA Mid-Atlantic Section.

 

Adult/Senior Sportsmanship (Female)
Presented to the individual whose court conduct demonstrates a positive role model for other players to follow.

 

Adult/Senior Sportsmanship (Male)
Presented to the individual whose court conduct demonstrates a positive role model for other players to follow.

 

Junior Sportsmanship (Female)
Presented to the individual whose court conduct demonstrates a positive role model for other players to follow.

 

Junior Sportsmanship (Male)
Presented to the individual whose court conduct demonstrates a positive role model for other players to follow.

 

Teaching Professional of the Year
Presented to a tennis professional in the USTA/Mid-Atlantic Section who demonstrates a significant contribution to the game of tennis through their promotion of the USTA Tennis Programs and their support of the USTA Mission.

 

Family of the Year

This award is presented to a family that resides in the USTA/Mid-Atlantic Section that has been outstanding in its promotion of tennis and demonstrates a true love of the game. The Mid-Atlantic winner is submitted for USTA National award consideration.
